Aside from our relationship with our parent(s), no other relationship impacts us more deeply than the one we have with our intimate partner. This relationship has the ability to significantly support and heal, or profoundly wound and reopen past hurts. In couples therapy, I work collaboratively with both partners to provide a safe space to understand each other more deeply, to strengthen communication, and to rebuild trust and connection.
Sometimes the people closest to us can cause the deepest wounds. Families may unintentionally create hurt through misunderstandings, unmet needs, or patterns that make us feel unseen or unsupported. In family counseling, I help members improve communication, resolve conflict, and build healthier patterns.
For individual counseling, I work to provide a safe, private space to explore your thoughts and feelings while using evidence-based strategies to increase self-awareness, improve mental health, and support meaningful personal growth.
As a family systems therapist, I view parents and caregivers as the most important and impactful relationship to supporting kids, decreasing their anxiety, and increasing their self-worth and a sense of safety. For my family clients with younger adolescents (age 14 and younger), I start work with just the parents in session. This creates a safe space to speak openly about what is happening in the home and to come up with strategies to help parents be more successful in supporting their child/teen to decrease unwanted behaviors.
For youth age 15-17, I hold both one-on-one sessions as well as sessions with one or both of the parents present.
I do not take any insurance. My private pay fee is $165 per 50 minute session. If this is a hardship, we can discuss a sliding scale.
